About Us

WE ARE:

  • Simply Christians, an autonomous group of believers, answering to Christ alone.

  • A family that bears each other's burdens and exhorts one another to please our Lord and King, Jesus the Christ.

  • Patterned after the 1st century church.

  • Loving the Lord our God with all of our Heart, Mind, Soul, and Strength.

The membership of the West Queen Creek Church of Christ consists of Christians in different stages of spiritual growth, striving to show our love for God and His son Christ Jesus, by faithfully following the commands given (1 John 3:16-24)

Our intent is to be a congregation as described by Jesus to the Samaritan woman at the well who questioned Him regarding which group's worship was right in the sight of God. This brought His statement, "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers." (John 4:23)We desire to be a people who God recognizes as true worshipers. Our goal is to worship Him in spirit, each individual member wanting to put their whole purpose in their daily worship. To "present their bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is one's spiritual service of worship." (Romans 12:1)

We want to be a people who God recognizes as ones who worship Him in truth, knowing the truth is only found in His word, not allowing man's wisdom to sway our worship, either personal or assembled. (2 Timothy 2:15)

We are a steadfast body of Christians who search the Scriptures to better understand what God wants, not only from each of us as His children, but also from our congregation. We know that sound faith can come from only one source, the sound words found in the teachings of God's word, that we read and believe, no other writings will be used, our motto is, "where the Scriptures speak, we speak and where the Scriptures are silent we are silent." (1 Corinthians 4:6 / 1 Peter 4:11 / 2 Peter 1:3)

We know that as a congregation we have the command to bring God's plan of salvation to all who will hear, to edify each other, and to help saints in their time of need. We know these three can only be accomplished by following the command, example and necessary inference as given to the first century church, as preserve for us, no other teachings will be used to accomplish these works. (Matthew 28:18–20 / Romans 14:19 / Galatians 2:10)

We are completely autonomous, a single flock. Our work in the Lord is ours alone, we are not bound by what other congregation's (flocks) works might be. (Acts 20:28)

We are good stewards, not wasting any of God's contributions, using the funds to carry out His plan of salvation and function as a congregation. We have the faith to believe, because of diligent study, that our works are right ones, motivated by our love for God, a desire to correctly obey His commands, and our love for our fellow saints and mankind. (1 Timothy 6:17–19 / Titus 3:8 )

We believe we are servants of Christ, and all who remain faithful will receive the promise from God of a home in Heaven. (1 Timothy 4:6 / 2 Timothy 1:13 / John 14:1–4 / Matthew 16:27–28)
